Blitz Night is an annual fundraising activity in which the players themselves go door-to-door in the community to solicit contributions for the Mustang Football Program. It is one of only two fundraising events that the players are involved in and is usually our largest single fundraising event.

- What do the players actually sell?
- The players sell our Community Discount Cards for $20 a piece.
- What are the benefits of the Discount Card?
- 15 local participating retailers and restaurants offer discounts or upgrades to Card users. These have included include Subway, Pomodoro, Koo Koo Roo, Mama D's, Lindberg Nutrition, et al Generally, the Card pays for itself after just a few uses.
- How long are the cards good for?
- The Cards can be used repeatedly for up to 12 months, from July 1 to the following June 30.
- What do the Cards look like?
- The Cards are plastic, credit card size designed to conveniently fit in a wallet or purse.
- When do the players receive their allotment of Cards?
- Approximately one week before the actual Blitz Night. This gives them a chance to do some pre-selling to family, friends and neighbors.
- When is the Blitz Night usually held?
- The 2nd week of July, on a weekday evening.
- How many Cards is each player responsible for selling?
- A minimum of 10 Cards.
- How are the participating retailers and restaurants chosen?
- The Booster Club Board attempts to create a balance of goods and services that we think local Manhattan and Hermosa Beach residents will appreciate and use. Consideration is given to businesses that have previously supported the Football Program.
- Are the participating retailers and restaurants for the next season's card already in place?
- No. We are planning to approach them in the coming weeks. Any suggestions for new ones should be forwarded to the Booster Club President or Marketing Committee Chairman.
- Are the Cards available for purchase after the Blitz Night?
- Yes. The Booster Club sells them at the Merchandise Booth at all home Varsity games.
- Does the Board need parents to volunteer to help out with Blitz Night?
- Yes, absolutely. We need drivers to take the Players to their designated selling areas as well as to help administer the evening meal, usually a pizza party when the Players return to Campus. Other volunteers are needed to coordinate the distribution and collection of the Cards and monies.
