Weight Room
The Football Weight Room is the place where Mustang players develop their strength in the off-season and maintain it during the actual football season.


The focal point of the room are the 10 heavy duty, custom designed, lifting platforms complete with power cages and adjustable benches. This equipment, along with the efficient layout of the room, allows up to 50 players to work on their core exercises simultaneously, without any distractions, under the watchful eye of one or more coaches.
There are also various specialized machines, like a deadlift machine, a football specific weightlifting machine that mimics the explosive power movements of the game, a leg sled, arm curl bench, abdominal crunch machine, pull up bars, plyometric boxes and, of course, tons of free weight and dumbbells for isolating specific supporting muscle groups.
Our lifting program is built around 4 key exercises where the players are on their feet, moving around and trying to develop their core strength. These exercises are the squat, the clean and snatch (Olympic weightlifting movements), the bench press, and an over-head push press (a quasi-Olympic lifting movement).
